Four different potent seaweed extracts, including Laminaria Digitata, Ascophyllum Nodosum, Corallina Officinalis and Codium Tomentosum, hydrate and nourish the skin, Multi-fruit extracts form the core of the gentle exfoliating system in Rapidex, utilizing mild Glycolic acids derived from Strawberry, Kiwi and Apple combined with Lactic Acid, a gentle AHA derived from milk. These are buffered by natural ingredients to help calm the appearance of the skin such as Chamomile and Green Tea, providing a controlled, gentle, yet effective at-home peel.

Nothing creates a smooth, soft skin surface better than this safe and effective at-home peel based on Seaweed and other actives. The soft, oversized cotton swab and unique, medically inspired Unidos application system ensure the product’s purity, ease of use, and efficacy every time.

WHY THIS PRODUCT WAS CREATED: LYDIAS STORY

In the 1990s, Glycolic Acid became all the rage in skincare. Companies were putting it in everything, at every level of concentration. As we know, when it comes to Glycolic Acid, it must be used at the correct percentage. Consequently, what I was seeing in my spa in NYC in the Galleria Building on Park Avenue were many people coming in with burned, damaged skin from over-use of Glycolic Acids and other AHAs.

While I think this exfoliator is important, I wanted to have control over how much exfoliation clients could do at home, including the amount of product, the percentage of Glycolic Acid, and control over the pH. I knew that it had to be simple and uni-dose to be certain the client would not overdo the application, but there was nothing on the market at that time as.

The inspiration for the uni-dose applicator came to me in an unexpected way. When I had a car accident I was taken to the emergency room in a NY hospital. The nurse came in to swab my forehead with iodine because I was bleeding. I grabbed her hand holding the swab and said Wait. Can I have this? She looked puzzled but for me, even as I was in pain and bleeding, I saw my vision. I grabbed the swab and later on that week, I got in touch with the supplier company and asked if they could consider modifying it for me and my product.

Once I had secured the formula and unique swab, the name for the product came to me, Rapidex, for rapid exfoliator. This is how Rapidex Marine Exfoliator with Phyto-Marine Actives was born. DIRECTIONS: After nightly cleansing, twist applicator open, remove pre-saturated cotton swab and apply evenly over the skin on the face, throat, and/or back of hands. Not to be used on/or around the eye area. Discard each applicator after single usage.
